Susan Kellogg Briner Chanoski, 71, of Penn Township, formerly of West Chester, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, after a two-year battle with cancer. Her soul started its journey by jumping into her Subaru, stopping by Panera's for an iced tea and her favorite cheese and egg sandwich, then heading towards heaven. Sue fought the good fight against cancer, facing each day with courage and determination. She was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church in Harrison City, and was a school nurse with Franklin Regional School District for many years before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Joyce (White) Briner, both passing within the last 16 months. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Michael; two sons, Sam (Stephanie) Chanoski of Atlanta, GA, and Jonathan Chanoski of Penn Township; two granddaughters, Allison and Jillian; a brother, George (Cynthia) Briner; two sisters, Barbara (Steven) Kuzil and Nancy (Bill) Klein; sister-in-law, Jo (Jim) Hursh; and many nieces and nephews. Her best friends Marcie, Marcie, Cherie, Barb, Margaret, and Sandy were at her side during the battle. Sue chose to die at home on the farm, and her ashes will be with us forever there. Rest in peace, Sue. Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass on Thursday, July 14 at 11:00 AM at St. Barbara Catholic Church. Arrangements entrusted to Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, Inc., 3343 Route 130, Harrison City, 724-744-2721. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the St. Barbara Catholic Church, 111 Raymaley Road, Harrison City, PA 15636. www.Lindsay-JobeFuneralHome.com.
