Shirley J. (Raling) Caldwell McClelland

Shirley J. (Raling) Caldwell McClelland, 85, of Delmont, died on Sunday, May 9, 2021. She was born on June 23, 1935 in North Huntingdon. Shirley was an active member and volunteer at Faith United Methodist Church, where she participated in cooking, baking, and serving for many meals. She made the best apple pie ever. Shirley was a world traveler, even after her second husband John passed away. She was socially involved with her card club and homemakers club for many years. Shirley is survived by her loving children, George C. (wife Dee) Caldwell, Jr., Barbara J. (husband Joseph) Buck, and Scott A. (wife Becky) Caldwell; 8 grandchildren, Deanna Caldwell, Adam (wife Jannine) Caldwell, Chad (wife Missy) Caldwell, Austin (wife Rexela) Caldwell, Stacy (husband Jerry) Reed, Stephanie (Dan) McKay, Scott Caldwell, and Ryan Caldwell; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlette Moshier; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethyl O. (Raling) Short; her grandparents, Charles J. and Barbara (Hutton) Raling; her first husband, George C. Caldwell; and second husband, W. John McClelland. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 6-8 PM at Bash-Nied-Jobe Funeral Home, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381), and are welcome to attend a graveside committal service on Thursday, May 13 at 11 AM at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
