Raymond William Best, Jr. 
Age 75 of North Versailles, passed away on February 19, 2020. Beloved husband of Sandra D. (DeArmitt) Best. Loving brother of Cleda (Tom) Galioto and Gary (Kathy) Best. Dear uncle to Jamie (Matt Conti) Winkler, Kellee (Ali Sumpter) Winkler, Tommy (Kathleen) Galioto, Kevin (Heather) Galioto, Travis (Ashley) Best, Gary Best, Cheyenne Best, Kirsten Best, and Aubrey Best; great-uncle to many nieces and nephews; son-in-law of Maggie and the late Jerry DeArmitt; and brother-in-law to Mike and Cindy McCoy. Also survived by his faithful toy poodle, Star. Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond W. and Wilma M. (Reese) Best, Sr. Ray honorably served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was in one of the missile silos during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was stationed in Alaska during the Good Friday Earthquake where he helped in securing the town of Anchorage. Following his military service, he went on to manage the Bethel Park Retirement Community, and later the Point Pleasant Retirement Community. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #582 in Dravosburg. In his free time, he loved to go fishing and exploring the woods, and prior to meeting his wife, Sandy, he was an avid hunter. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
