Kenneth Ralph Bonine, Sr.

Age 92, of Verona, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was born on July 16, 1930 to the late Ralph and Edna Bonine.

Kenneth is survived by his children, Kimberly A. (John) Yoder and Kenneth Ralph Bonine, Jr.; daughter in law; Laurie Bonine, grandchildren, Stevie Bonine, Becca Bonine, Megan Yoder, Marina Yoder, Morgan Yoder; sister, Saundra (Ernest) Scholze; numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara A. Bonine and by his sister, Helen McGreevy.

He is a graduate of Edgewood High School and then studied at Fairmont State University. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving 8 years. He had many different jobs over the years and employed by Heinz for several years. He was a loving husband for 62 years to Barbara. He established K&B Candy in 1979, along with his wife. The store was a passion of his and he remained active in the business for over 40 years. Ken was truly a gentleman; loving, generous, soft spoken and kindhearted. He always had some great stories to share. He had a great ability to make others smile. He was loved and adored by many and will be missed. 

A Gravesite Service With Military Honors will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 1:30 PM at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Everyone is to meet at the cemetery for services.
