Kenneth Lee Baker, Sr.

Kenneth Lee Baker, Sr., age 83, of Claridge, died on Sunday, May 28, 2023 in his home. He was born on August 17, 1939 in Jeannette, a son of the late David and Genevieve "Jennie" (Ciccotella) Baker, Sr. Ken worked for many years as a tow motor mechanic at Jeannette Glass, After the glass factory closed, he enjoyed working at Walmart in Delmont assembling bicycles for 11 years. He spent a lot of time outdoors hunting and fishing, loved riding motorcycles, and was an avid CB radio operator and collector. He was also a past member of Claridge VFD. Ken is survived by his wife, Susan (Hummel) Baker; five children; Chris Carter (Dave), Glenn Baker, Shane Baker, Tracy MacDougall, and William Baker; several grandchildren, Michael Farrell IV (Jennifer), Stephanie Kelly (Jaysen), Leann Blondeaux, Franklin Baker, Madison Mae Baker, Donovan MacDougall, Mitchell Baker (Chrismin), and Cameron Baker; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron Baker, Bob Baker (Ruth), and Harold Baker, Sr. (Mitzi); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Labutis Mae "Boots" Baker; a son, Kenneth Lee Baker, Jr.; and siblings, David Baker, Jr., John Daniel Baker, and Patricia Bankosh. Per Ken's request, there will be no visitation or services. He will be laid to rest at a later date with his late wife, Boots.
