James R. Adams, Jr.

Age 74 of Pitcairn, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 2, 2022. He was born on March 12, 1948 in Pittsburgh to Susan (Sakey) Adams and the late James R. Adams, Sr. Beloved husband of Ruth L. (Ray) Adams. Loving father of James R. Adams, III. Proud grandfather of Tyler and Caden Adams. Also survived by siblings, Daniel (the late Rhonda) Adams, Debbie (Rick) Williams, and Linda (Rich) Vangenewitt; and many loving nieces and nephews. Jim honorably served in the US Army with the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Parachute Badge, and the Vietnam Service Medal. Following his military service, he began his career at Respironics where he retired as Supervisor after nearly 25 years. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family. A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 11am at Restland Memorial Park.
