Age 69 of Wilkins Twp., formerly of the Hill District, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving father of Desmond (Ladora Sharp) Lee, Michael Turner, and Yolanda Turner Smith. Proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Cherished brother to Louis (the late Beverly) Wright, Vincent Wright, and Allen Turner. Also survived by a host of family and dear friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Coffee and Eunice (Louise) Turner; brother, Butchie; and sisters, Janie and Christine.
Desmond was a jack of all trades who worked as a laborer for various companies. He was an avid Steelers fan and loved old school music. He also enjoyed watching cartoons, old Western movies and Sci-Fi, especially Star Trek. Desmond was a man of many seasons.....sometimes being quiet and other times being the life of the party. Desmond loved who he loved. His family were his friends and his friends were his family. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. And to quote Desmond, "When you wake up in the morning watch Fox 53" and "Let me know!"
Friends will be received Friday, April 26, 2024 from 11 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 118 Shaw Avenue, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests planting a tree in memory of Desmond .www.jobefuneralhome.com.
