James D. Abraham
Age 63, of Penn Township, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2019. Beloved husband of Mary (Gates) Abraham. Loving father of Ericka (Todd Gardner) Abraham. Cherished son of Matilda (Maskaly) Abraham and the late James Abraham. Brother of Debi (Robert) Stoner and Diana Abraham. Also survived by his niece, Kristen Falk; and his Gates brothers and sisters, and their children. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. corner of Shaw & Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek (412-823-1950), where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dysautonomia International. www.jobefuneralhome.com. Jim was loved by nearly all who knew him, and it was because, as Kristen said to Ericka, he had love in his heart. He was warm and kind and loving. His struggles made him a more empathetic person. Zir (Mary) was the love of his life. He wrote these words for her:
“With no one beside me you are my hope.
With no one beside me you are my love.
With no one beside me you are my faith.
You are my spirit.”
He was creative. He wrote poetry. He made jewelry. He collected, and used his collections to beautify every space he had control over. Music was a part of him. He gave all of his emotions to other people; tried to ease their pain. He was a good man, a good father, brother, husband, son, and friend. He will be missed.
