Glenn R.Russell, 70, of Plum passed away on June 24, 2019. Beloved husband of Patricia Russell for 40 years; father of Douglas (Christina) Russell and Christine (Travis) French; grandfather of Maxwell and Ian French and Natalie and Michael Russell; brother of Suzanne Russell, Pat Krieg, Mary Horner, James Russell and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Regis D. and Bettie Ann Russell; brother, Donald Russell and sister, Katherine Russell.
Those who knew Glenn were always met with a warm smile and a bad joke. He loved his dogs (Teddy and Jack) even though he never “wanted” them. His grandkids enjoyed it when he read them stories and gave them big bear hugs. He would tell anyone who would listen about his grandkids and show them a million pictures. He was constantly asking if anyone had any pie to eat (even though he knew we didn’t). Sitting on his deck and chatting with his neighbors was his favorite past time. He loved his Steelers and Penguins, and he was pretty sure the coaches could hear him yelling at them through the TV. Our lives are going to be a lot less funny without his constant silly jokes.
Family and friends are encouraged to come celebrate Glenn’s life and say goodbye on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) corner of Beatty Rd. & 48 North, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday. www.jobefuneralhome.com.
